We believe that the Bible is the divinely-inspired Word of God, and that there are no contradictions in the Bible. Our fundamental doctrine concerning salvation is based upon the instructions of Jesus himself, and also upon the original experiences and teachings of the Apostles in the book of Acts.
The Bible teaches that because of disobedience to God, the relationship between mankind and God was broken.
The Bible teaches that we can be brought back into relationship with God:
* By believing that with His own blood, Jesus absorbed the punishment for our sins.
* By repenting of our sins. Repentence is simply expressing sorrow to God for our sins and turning from them. When we repent we partake in Jesus' death.
* By being baptized by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ. When we are baptized in Jesus' name, our sins are washed away. When we are baptized in Jesus' name we partake in Jesus' burial.
* By receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Receiving the Holy Spirit is an experience that still occurs today just like it happened in the book of Acts.! When we are filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, we partake in Jesus' resurrection.
